Hidden between the many moneymaking franchises of every British high Street you will find the mindless youth of uncreative greed being glamorized by brands and ignorance. One such youth has been spotted weekly outside a dying fast food institution contemplating life while energizing his thoughtless spirit with what can only be described as an EXTRA EXTRA LARD milkshake.
The Stow Kid sticker campaign was created for people to engage with the next generation and encourage them not to become slaves to consumerism and boredom by seeing what they could become…….Stow Kid .
Stow Kid is by the super talented Mister Millerchip. To check out more work by the Millerchip, check out his blog and site – and he’s also a member of Boys Who Draw. Check out the Stow Kid blog.
Character artist and sculptor, Pierre Rouzier, contacted me to let me know about an exciting project he is working on!
Here is what he had to say:
I am a character sculptor by trade. I have also been designing, sculpting and producing my line of signature character and resin figures for about 15 years. My blog site: http://pierrerouzier-sculpture.blogspot.com is frequently updated with some of my recent works. I am currently showcasing my latest limited (signed) edition resin figure; ‘Vapor’. There is little history behind the conception of Vapor. Vapor is just one of those default designs that just seemed to reemerge every time my pencil hit the paper for the last 30 years. Usually as a warm up exercise, but most often when I’m extremely bored. The figure was first realized in 3D (early 2008), while I was experimenting with and making the transition from polymer clay to sculpting in wax. Afterward, I presented the wax sculpt to a few websites for fun. Having received some very positive feedback I decided to produce a few of them in a variety of phantasmic phlavorz.
To see all of the different coloured Vapors available to buy, please visit: http://pierrerouzier-sculpture.blogspot.com.
I am exhibiting a selection of 20+ drawings taken from Snuggletuff Volume 1. There will be a bunch of fun, new, never before seen characters and lands that make up the world of Snuggletuff – for you to lose yourself in.
There will not be a private viewing for this particular exhibition, but please feel free to pop in and take a look.
If you are coming from afar, feel free to message me and I might be able to meet you there. The gallery doors are open from 10-5 Mon to Fri, and 10-12 Saturday.
