Mauro Toled was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2005 and based all the ChemoMonsters characters on the side effects of his many chemotherapy sessions. On his MySpace page, Mauro states, “They are made with a tongue-in-cheek humor and with a lighthearted attitude to help diffuse the seriousness of cancer”.

Way back in the early 1950′s Osamu Tezuka (The ‘God of Manga’) unleashed Astro Boy. And in 2009, this timeless character phenomenon is set to graduate to the silver screen. Visit the official Astro Boy Movie site here.
